In December 2024, our funding by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) (project number 300342-104) will cease. We are extremely grateful to have benefitted from many years of stable funding from FCDO for the Cochrane Infectious Diseases Group (CIDG) editorial team, based at Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, which supports the production of CIDG reviews.
Over the next two months (to 19th December 2024), we plan to fulfil our obligations to the funder, and to produce the best CIDG reviews we can for the public in the time we have remaining. If you are an author currently writing a CIDG protocol, review, or update, we are working to ensure a smooth transition with minimal impact on your work. The CIDG Managing Editor will be in contact with the corresponding authors with further details.
We are very grateful to everyone who has contributed to the CIDG, especially our authors, Editors, and peer reviewers. We hope that you will continue to give your time and expertise to Cochrane, and encourage you to look out for further communications about Cochrane's plans and opportunities to get involved.
