WHO Collaborating Centre for Evidence Synthesis in Global Health

Through the work of the CIDG, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) is designated a World Health Organization (WHO) Collaborating Centre for Evidence Synthesis in Global Health for infectious and tropical diseases.  It provides a reference centre for the WHO in bringing together the best available research evidence on infectious tropical diseases. The Centre supports the WHO in developing recommendations for healthcare policy, developing guidelines for the management of infectious diseases, organizing training in research methods, and assisting in the communication of research results to policy makers, clinicians, teachers, and the public in low- and middle-income countries.
